Waguinho Wons, also known as Wagner is a very joyful person. From the first moment we met him, we could see he had a certain quality that portrayed him as a humble fellow.
Chris and I love people’s stories and he and his surfer friends immediately caught our eye. But we never thought we would stumble upon such a gem that Friday morning just past 7am in Victoria bay. His testimony is remarkable and moving, all because of a second chance.
Wagner begins his journey with a life changing event. An subarachnoid haemorrhage nearly takes his life. While in hospital he prayed to God, asking to spare his life and God answered his prayer. “My life used to be “surf, surf, surf every day because it is my passion. Today my life is God, God, God. I thank God for sparing my life. Now I take people around the world to show them all the beautiful surf spots God gave us so that they can enjoy His creation.”
Chris captured the story in cinematic view while I snapped away at all the stills. It was almost surreal when you look aesthetic value at the surrounding area, the light and the amazing story that unfolded itself that when we left that day, we knew our lives have been enriched with a story of substance.
Thank you Wagner for sharing your story.
May your testimony reach many more...
