It is easy to see that Jacobus and Rencke is a perfect fit. Apart from the fact that they are best friends, it is astonishing to see how they respect each other and how their love is absolutely selfless. What a privilege to have been able to capture one of our best friends getting engaged...
Jacobus came to Chris one day with the great news that he has decided to pop the big question and that he wanted to capture the engagement. We were thrilled and immediately started planning the event.
When we do couple shoots, we love it when they engage with each other as these images always look spontaneous and relaxed and that is exactly what they did.
Finally Jacobus decided to take the shoot to phase two and popped the question. Overjoyed, Rencke threw her arms up in the air as she said yes. It was hard for Chris and I to contain ourselves and not to get teary along with them. Soon tears were flowing and laughter filled the air as these two knew that their love story has taken a beautiful new avenue to walk down together.
There is something Godly about a man loving a woman. The fact that he stops and sees her for the being that she is. The way he handles her with the utmost of care. He sees himself as her protector and he adores her. He doesn’t always understand her but he loves her all the same…and the completion of this infinite circle is the way she accepts him perfectly and wholly for the being that he is. Two imperfect beings made perfect through the love that Christ as given them.
Chris is not only an amazing photographer, but he also has an eye to put a story together in cinematic format that captures the joy that can’t always be conveyed with words. This video happened in the spur of the moment during the shoot and he did the whole video free hand.
