Madison & West The story behind the scenes
October 31, 2016
There’s something very tangible about behind the scenes… When you look at the official images of a photo session, they portray a majestic presence but, those behind the scene images convey a certain realness, raw emotion of the people being photographed.

I believe to dream is to know that the probability exists for that possibility to become truth. So we sat down, and started dreaming together. To build a photography company that loves telling stories in their real, true form and to portray breathtaking images that can transport you back to that certain time and space, to be professional, invest in our clients and walk the extra mile with them.
As you can derive from the images above, we are two photographers, both passionate about creating real imagery that speaks to our audience. Our mix of journalistic- as well as Fashion photography, makes this the perfect combination for unique, realistic visuals that doesn’t only capture your day as it happens, but the emotion behind those moments.
We love working with people, whether it’s couple, wedding or family orientated and we aim to create the whole experience for you as a memorable one. Because we are interested in every one’s story, it is important for us to get to know our client and to build a good relationship with them.
Chris Van Dalen have been in the photography industry for over 16 years and is still going strong. His professionalism, accuracy and great people skills make it easy to work with him as he has the amazing ability to make you feel at ease. He strives to be original and innovative and his work testifies of this.
“It’s not so much about the camera, it’s all about perspective. Give me any camera and I’ll make it happen…”
~Chris Van Dalen~
“Photography is an expression of our emotions… sometimes more the way we would like to feel rather than what we are feeling. It captures the essence of our existence so much more than the mere fact that once we were here. It also captures the beholder behind the camera and the stories they wanted to portray.”
Indeed there’s something truly tangible about behind the scenes. Whether it is only the image or the story behind the camera, portraying the beauty and conveying the realness…
